Royal Wedding Giveaway.

April 24, 2011  |  Featured Posts

You’d have to be on another planet to not know that there is a Royal Wedding this Friday.  Lots of shops etc have gone red, white and blue mad.

I would think that down in England it will be even more so than up here in Scotland.

As promised, I thought it might me nice to have a fun little giveaway to mark the occasion.

Royal Wedding Giveaway.

I’ve made a little knitted pouch in Rowan Cashsoft yarns and a beaded scissors fob made from a hand made lampwork bead (by an English artist) swarovski crystals, sterling silver findings and a sterling silver rose charm.

There is also a brand new set of Limited Edition playing cards featuring the Royal family and a Marks and Spencer chocolate lolly.

If you’d like to enter then please leave a comment on this post only.  It would be great if your comment could relate in some way to Friday’s event but it doesn’t have to.

UPDATE.  (I’ve had a few comments which mention posting overseas.  I’m more than happy to mail overseas, it doesn’t matter where you live, feel free to enter).

I will draw the winner on Friday at 11.00 am. which is the time of the ceremony.

PS  If you have a blog then I’d be happy for you to mention this giveaway.

  1. Would love to enter the draw and will mention it on my blog when I post later today. Can only wish the happy pair a long and loving life together, and we will be raising a glass to them on the day! Do like your blog, just found it!

  2. I watched both Charles and Andrew marry and will eagerly, happily watch William marry!

I am happy to post this giveaway on my blog’s sidebar:

    Thank you!

  3. If you don’t mind sending overseas, I’d love to be included! Though not an official follower, I have your blog bookmarked and keep up with all that you’re stitching and reporting every week.

  4. I always knew I would marry Prince Charles when I was young. Instead I married a pure Scots-American.

Just love these weddings and all the intracies of royalty.

I would be so happy to be included in the draw.

  5. I would love to enter your giveaway if you mail international! I would feel like Royalty if I won!

This wedding will be so beautiful, and I’m looking forward to watching it on the television. Very exciting occasion, isn’t it?

  6. I cant wait for the Royal wedding – my work has announced that people can dress up fot for a royal wedding for the day. I might just pop in before we drive north and start life up in the north island.
I have watched all royal wedding since the mid 70s, and I wont miss this one. I think we get to watch in the evening. If you dont mind posting to New Zealand, I would love to be included in the draw.

  7. Thanks for offering the giveway – they look like a lovely couple, and I look forward to seeing footage from the wedding (won’t be able to watch it live, unfortunately).

  8. What a beautiful keepsake you are offering!!!

I enjoy watching the wedding coverage that has to do with guessing what Kate’s dress will look like — I’m sure it will be stunning. Now that I am into textiles, I enjoy anything to do with historical or vintage gowns.

Best Wishes from across the sea.

  9. Hi Ann,
What a cool giveaway! I love your red, white and blue flowers too. I am looking forward to watching the wedding – I think my invitation must have been lost in the post. I wonder what her dress will be like too. Not long now. Irene xxx

  10. Hi Ann

I would love to be included in your Royal wedding giveaway please. I haven’t been able to find much in the way of wedding memorabilia here in NZ which is a shame.

I can’t wait to watch the wedding (it will be late Friday night here).

Hope you had a lovely Easter. I have been away (we even saw some sunshine), but now I am back I am going to decide what to stitch for our exchange.

  11. Red, white & blue is always a good one! Please include me in your very unique and generous giveaway! Here, in the US, we
will get up at 4 AM in order to see the beginning of the wedding festivities! I plan to get up and enjoy it all, doing some stitching as I watch.
Thank you Ann for such a fun giveaway.

  12. Woohoo! I would love to have my name entered for your giveaway.

I’m bummed that the wedding is Friday since I have to work. Maybe I can find it streamed somewhere online? I really want to see it (I’m all about watching pomp and circumstance!), so maybe I should work on finding a streaming site.

I hope you are having a super day!

  13. I am looking forward to the wedding and would love to enter your wonderful giveaway!
    Thanks 🙂

  14. Hi from Australia! I am SO looking forward to watching the Royal Wedding on TV here. One of my first memories as a child was everyone had a calendar with the wedding photo of the Queen and Prince Phillip! I watched Charles and Diana’s wedding, also the sad occasion of her funeral.
They seem a lovely, sensible young couple and I wish them a life filled with joy.
I must tell you, I happened upon Edgar’s blog today, and then I noticed your comment and thought I would pop over and visit you as well. Sandy. 🙂

  15. I’m looking forward to seeing this Royal Wedding in colour. 30 years ago I watched Charles and Diana’s, but in black and white! I can’t wait to see what Kate’s dress will be like. Thanks for the giveaway.

  16. Hi!! I would love to be included in your Royal Wedding Giveaway! What a fun idea! Here in the US we have been watching wedding news for weeks–and I’m sure you’ve seen much more than we have! I vividly remember watching Charles and Diana get married, and it doesn’t seem like it was so many years ago. She was a beautiful bride and I’m sure Kate will be, also. Thank you for a creative and generous giveaway!
